Studying Spanish at Regis

The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish explores the diversity of Spanish cultures and includes the study of language, literature, and history of the Spanish-speaking world in the Americas and Spain. This degree seeks to advance proficiency in all linguistic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing combined with the development of multicultural awareness through the analysis of literary and non-literary texts. The Modern Language Department highly recommends students study abroad as part of the Spanish major.

Proficiency in the Spanish language and an understanding of the history of Spanish cultures are a valuable asset that help prepare students for a wide variety of career paths including international relations, education, journalism and mass communication, health care and government.
