What will I learn in this program?
You’ll gain a thorough foundation of common and unique teaching pedagogy before teaching in a local classroom for a semester. You’ll be able to reflect on your own strengths and gain new methodologies adaptive to how a diverse set of students learn and engage with the material. By graduation, you’ll feel confident and capable of leading a middle or high school classroom and you’ll be prepared to take the state licensure exam.

Specialize your degree
In addition to the foundation coursework, you will work with your advisor to select an endorsement area that aligns with your bachelor’s degree. Endorsement areas including the following:
- World languages (French, German or Spanish)
- Social Studies
一道本不卡免费高清Students seeking licensure in secondary world languages, math or science must enter the program with a completed bachelor’s degree in the respective area. Licensure in other areas require related coursework completed in your bachelor’s degree.
Colorado State Licensure
As a part of the program, you must successfully take the state licensure examination to student teach in one of our partner schools. We will support and recommend you through this process. After completing your field hours in a Colorado school, you can apply for licensure in Colorado through the Colorado Department of Education with our recommendation.
A license is dependent on the major of your bachelor's degree. If the level and area of license you are seeking does not correspond to your specific major, you may need to take additional undergraduate credits as required by Colorado laws and regulations for license or take the state licensure exam prior to your first course.
