The Full Stack undergraduate certificate is designed for learners and working professionals to gain expertise and experience in the design, development and implementation of web applications. This five-course certificate focuses on web interface design; web application development; and mobile-web integration. Students learn how to design and develop robust, responsive and novel web and mobile applications which effectively integrate the interface layer with the application and database layers.

Full Stack development is an industry term for the various technologies and skills employed in web development.  In particular, it implies the use of front-end, back-end, and database components in the implementation of enterprise web applications.  A Full Stack developer is one who’s experienced with the design and development of each of these components.

  • Web Data Visualization focuses on the presentation of data in meaningful, graphical forms by using various chart types; e.g., Bar, Line, Scatter, and Sparkline.  The following frameworks are taught: Flotr2, Google Charts, and D3.  Students learn how to design and build interactive dashboards that depict the current state and historical trends of key performance indicators.
  • Web Mobile Apps addresses the design and development of mobile apps using standard web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.  Employed frameworks include Bootstrap, JQuery Mobile, Ionic, and Phone Gap / Cordova.  The resulting apps can be deployed on any device that supports a web container.

Campus Based Classes: Classes meet two evenings per week from 6pm-10pm MST at our Denver Tech Center campus.  Each class is approximately four weeks in length and starts one time per year (August only) in a cohort format.

    All completed applications for admissions will be reviewed. A minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is recommended. Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 and/or those applicant who do not meet the work experience requirement will be considered on an individual basis.

    It is recommended that applications are submitted one month in advance of desired start date to ensure adequate processing time and optimize class availability options.
